Yorkshire Air Ambulance

The Raffle has now closed

Good luck to everyone who entered and thanks for supporting Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for the announcement of the winner.

Why are we doing this?

SorryMate and the 1946 Marshals associations are proud supporters of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Both organisations raise money all year round for the charity however we want to raise more. So, the idea came about to build a Yorkshire Air Ambulance race bike which will be raffled off to raise vital funds. All proceeds will go to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

What could you win?

The first prize is the track bike. It started life as an ex-race bike and over the last 6 months it’s been transformed in to the race tuned beauty you see next to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. It now shares the colours and some of the graphics so we think it looks the part! In addition we’re asking celebrity riders and racers to autograph the bike over the next few months before it then gets lacquer coated.

We have also received donations of (so far) full race leathers, a track day, tyre warmers and power washer and we hope to add more prizes as the year progresses. By entering the raffle you also consent for SorryMate to continue contacting you with other prize notifications, marketing updates and also prize draw results.

The Race Bike History - The Main Prize

Take a look at the work that has gone into making this fantastic bike:

Suzuki GSX-R600

We started with the donation of this former race bike and immediately began the strip down.

Engine Build

Despite the engine being in good mechanical order, it was stripped and fully rebuilt to race specifications.

Frame Work

The frames needed only cosmetic work and was powder coated.

Donations

We made a call for donations for parts and help and the response was overwhelming.

Rebuild

The complex matter of putting everything back, incorporating the new parts began.

Paint Work

A perfect match to Yorkshire Air Ambulance colours was applied and the create concept.

Graphics

Application of the graphics completed the effect, though we're not finished there.

Finished Bike

We're inviting BSB riders & biking celebs to autograph the bike before we apply a final clear coat of lacquer.

This will be a truly one of a kind bike, unique in every aspect and could be yours!
